The Twelve Disciples of Jesus Christ (Part 10)
Judas The Brother Of James
Judas is the brother of James the son of Alphaeus and Labbaues. (Luke 6:16, Acts 1:13) Judas was also known as Thaddeus. (Mark 3:18) He lived near Kheresa, with his brother James. Judas was married and had two children. He was a fisherman by trade. Judas was also called Jude by some people.
How Judas was called by Jesus Christ is not known. Like his brother it is said that he was around twenty-six years old when he became a disciple. He is listed with the twelve disciples in Luke and Acts. He was also at the Pentecost. After the persecutions caused the disciples to scatter Judas went to Odessa and preached there.
During all of my research I could only find one thing on his death. He was crucified at Odessa.
