The Twelve Disciples of Jesus Christ (Part 8)

Thomas

Thomas (known also as doubting Thomas) to the best of my knowledge was the only child in a family of three people. Thomas was married and had four children. He was a carpenter and stone mason by trade. Thomas was his Hebrew name. Didymus was his Greek name.
Thomas was around twenty-mine years old when he was called by Jesus Christ. Not a whole lot is known about Thomas. But the thing he is probably known the best for is when after Christ's resurrection he wanted to be shown that Jesus had really rose from the dead. (Hence the name doubting Thomas) After the Pentecost, Thomas went and journeyed through Cyprus, Crete, North African coast, Partha, and India. He also Preached to the Parthians, Medes, Persians, Camanians, Hyrcanians, Bactrians, and Magains.
He was killed in Calamina, India. The pagan priests after they got angry at him for preaching the gospel, killed him by thrusting a spear through him.
